Romans 7:4 “Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.”
While reading this verse, it explains that we have a sinful behavior and we are…
I had a great night tonight at FCA… even though it was perhaps the most serious lesson I’d ever had. (Which isn’t bad by any means…)
But it hit me hard… It hit me very hard.
I felt very convicted tonight and I’ve realized so many things I need to work on, and so many more I need to appreciate more.
I’m thankful for Coach Marco to speak to us so deeply, yet so plainly as well. He is a great man.
It got me thinking about my girlfriend a lot, and it made me value her all the more. After we finished, we were kind of standing by the way waiting for the girls to finish their prayer, and when they stood up I saw her hug Ms. Swofford and just have this beautiful smile on her face, and in that instant, I just about started crying… I had to look away and kind of turn towards the pillar for a second to get a hold of myself… I was already on the verge of wanting to cry a few times earlier this night just from the pure impact the lesson was having on me…
It was a very powerful lesson, and a wonderful night, not only in FCA, but with my girlfriend before that.
I am truly thankful for her, for I know there is no other woman like on this planet. She is beautiful in every way and I could not want anything different.
I am thankful for my faith and my God, who, despite how many times I fall or fade, always calls me home.
And I am thankful for my parents who put up with my teenage-ness.
“And through all of this, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, no fear, no insecurity, no doubt, no hesitation that will ever, ever stop us. Because we are the sons of the living God, because we are the children of the Almighty, because we are the residents of the kingdom of heaven, and we are soldiers in an army of the immortal. And when we speak life, life happens, and when we speak healing, healing happens, and when we speak truth, truth happens. And when we go take what we found to a dead world, we’ll see it come to life again, and when we take what we found to a hopeless world, we’ll see hope come back. We’ll see the heart of our world start beating again, and we’ll see the color come back into people’s faces. Absolutely nothing will ever stop that. Mountains will move before us, and oceans will part before us, and the dead will raise before us. And the world will know that our God is the God that heals, and our God is a God that lives, and our God is a God that loves, and like anything that anyone has ever felt before, because we are fearless, and because we are His hands, and because we are His feet. Forever, and ever.”—For Today -Talmidim (The Servants)
