I live. I am human. I am a teenager. I am a guy. I live for something greater. I struggle with the basics. I groan at the usual. But I keep living to do what has been asked of me.
You can call me Speedy.
I'm here to reach out to the ones I love and care for. Once in a while I'll get sentimental, or deep, and probably blog something like it.
My life has simple aims, and a difficult path to them. I deal with it the best I can.
I am Speedy. I am Christian, but do not fear me, for I will love you regardless. I guess this is the chance for anyone who cares, to see the depths of my mind, and everything it holds, dark or bright. Happy or sad.
Read my thoughts or leave them, they are yours to criticize.

I pledge allegiance to the U.S.CRAY

But when you come against my country
When you come against my family
You try to destroy my people
I can’t just stand by
There’s no way that I can stand by
This time, I will not stand by
I am coming, and if I come, then pain is coming with me
I’m coming, and pain will be with me

Yeah, you’ve been alone
I’ve been gone for far too long
But with all that we’ve been through
After all this time I’m coming home to you
Never let it show
The pain I’ve grown to know
‘Cause with all these things we do
It don’t matter when I’m coming home to you
I reach towards the sky I’ve said my goodbyes
My heart’s always with you now
I won’t question why so many have died
My prayers have made it through yeah
‘Cause with all these things we do
It don’t matter when I’m coming home to you
Letters keep me warm
Helped me through the storm
But with all that we’ve been through
After all this time I’m coming home to you
I reach towards the sky I’ve said my goodbyes
My heart’s always with you now
I won’t question why so many have died
My prayers have made it through yeah
‘Cause with all these things we do
It don’t matter when I’m coming home to you
I’ve always been true
I’ve waited so long just to come hold you
I’m making it through
It’s been far too long, we’ve proven our
love over time’s so strong, in all that we do
The stars in the night, they lend me their light
to bring me closer to heaven with you
(Bring me closer)
But with all that we’ve been through
After all this time I’m coming home to you
I reach towards the sky I’ve said my goodbyes
My heart’s always with you now
I won’t question why so many have died
My prayers have made it through yeah
‘Cause with all these things we do
It don’t matter when I’m coming home to you
And with all that we’ve been through
After all this time I’m coming home to you

Okay… I love this song… alot… it just sounds amazing… :D  one of my favorites by A7X.

I ALSO… love this movie…. Jarhead.  It was an amazing movie about the opening wars in Afghanistan (Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm)  from the perspective of a division of Marines.  And it proves just how MESSED up the war was politically.
I think the most powerful scene was in the end.  You have to see it to feel the full effect, but they are riding home through the streets in America on a bus, and people are cheering them and there’s parades and then a Vietnam war vet hops into the bus door while its going and begins yelling “SEMPER FI MARINES!  SEMPER FI! WE GOT EM”  The man is ragged, and obviously homeless.  The marines on the bus kind of sit there awkwardly and silently.  The man is happy for a few seconds… and then you can tell he becomes troubled… and asks to sit down… and begins quietly sobbing in the front seat of the bus…

The point here?  Why were the marines so silent?  Because they realized how large the gap was between them and that veteran.  Vietnam was hell come to earth, and a political nightmare, with our troops being shoved into the middle of a whole nation of people who hated them, and had a rifle pointed at them.  thousands of American lives were foolishly lost in Vietnam and despite the propaganda of our government, it was not a victory… not in the slightest.  Ever seen Full Metal Jacket?  That gives you a hint at Vietnam.   The worst part.  When the troops came home… AMERICA HATED THEM!  There was no respect or patriotism for our troops.  They were looked down upon, spit at, and caste down for the mistakes of OUR government.  That’s why so many of them live in poverty.  They couldn’t even get jobs.  They fought through hell and got nothing for it?  The campaigns in Afghanistan???? They were A JOKE!  (I’m sorry if that offends somebody)  But Jarhead proves that…  this whole division of marines literally does nothing throughout the war, and never fire a single bullet with purpose.  And yet here they come home… being cheered on and thanked for their ‘sacrifice’

Don’t get me wrong, I respect a soldier one way or another.  What I don’t respect… is the bulk of the American people… and worse… our government.

but yeah… i’m done

Speedy shutting up.

"All the way from the east to the west
We’ve got this high society looking down on their very foundation
Constantly reminding us that our actions are the cause of all their problems
Pointing the fingers in every direction and
Blaming their own nation for who wins the elections
They’ve never contributed a (freaking) thing to the country they love to criticize"
