I live. I am human. I am a teenager. I am a guy. I live for something greater. I struggle with the basics. I groan at the usual. But I keep living to do what has been asked of me.
You can call me Speedy.
I'm here to reach out to the ones I love and care for. Once in a while I'll get sentimental, or deep, and probably blog something like it.
My life has simple aims, and a difficult path to them. I deal with it the best I can.
I am Speedy. I am Christian, but do not fear me, for I will love you regardless. I guess this is the chance for anyone who cares, to see the depths of my mind, and everything it holds, dark or bright. Happy or sad.
Read my thoughts or leave them, they are yours to criticize.

What I’ve always found funny is the ambiguity between the Sith and the Jedi.  Like people who try and draw religious connections through the story are right to some extent.  But even then, the Jedi seem wrong about some things.  The Jedi Order, especially in content outside of the movies, is further defined into a concept that represents almost a bureaucratic identity of warrior monks or something along that line.  Its almost pharisee style.  They help, but they don’t.  People who know their Star Wars inside and out will get what I’m saying.  And the Jedi call for a complete cut off from ties and attachments and love.  However, teachings of the Sith almost embrace these emotions, although they more commonly refer to them as passions.  But if your passion is to protect the ones you love and you’re willing to fight hard to do it… is that so wrong?  I just find it interesting how really there is this battle going on between two parts that could be a whole.  Now don’t get me wrong I’m not blowing off the primary differences between the Good and Evil of the Jedi and Sith respectively.  But truly analyzing what they are, what they have been, and what they were made to resemble at their core really emphasizes some different aspects that when compared with Christian spirituality, creates some almost gray lines or blending.  You see the positive and negative to both.  It’s kind of mind bending.
But don’t listen to me… I’m just a Star Wars nerd. :P

Speedy shutting up.

"have you ever wondered what it would be like if you were the guy who whipped Jesus and made his flesh hang from his body… what if you were the guy who was hammering the nails in the cross… im sitting here wondering what their lives would be like if the holy spirit got a hold of them, what their story would be like… but yet it hits, and i would be willing to bet that their story isnt that different from ours as we have all held the whip that has ripped the flesh off of Jesus so that we literally could see what He is made of… we all have held the hammer that put the nails in the cross… and lastly we were the crowd that said “CRUCIFY HIM”… And yet he still set us free."

Does anyone understand what faith is anymore?

Oh well Speedy, faith is obviously believing in something.

Hmm… no, not quite.

I feel like so many Christians have lost the idea of faith.  The word still holds some weight thank God, but faith, true hard actual faith, has had it’s definition skewed.

Your on the Titanic.  Screw the whole romantic story.  It’s not part of what you’re involved in.  You’re just some screwball on the boat and it’s going down…

Christ comes down and calls out to you, standing on the waters and he says “Come here.  Walk out to me.”

Would you do it?

Oh well of course Speedy.  It happened once before!

Really… is that why?  So you’ll leave the boat and start walking on water ONLY BECAUSE, it’s been tested, proven, and recorded - at least to your ideas as a Christian.

For some reason, I’d think quite a few people would start sinking.  I think many more, knowing the story or not, would simply stay where they are, thinking they were hallucinating, thinking that this Jesus dude is absolutely crazy.

The problem here: You’re walking off the boat because you have faith that it worked before.

NO!  NO!  NO!

That’s not quite it people.  It’s something we all forget far too often.

Faith is absolute.  It is unquestionable.  So many Christian lack faith these days!  Far too many!  We are unworthy of the name “Christian!”  Christian is a name that used to be an insult, and the people who wore that name wore it proudly.  Where is that pride!?  Where is that strength.  Christians hide their faces these days, and if God were to call out to them in the midst of the world, I am scared too many would stay silent.

The Christians of the older days were the true icons of “FAITH.”  They spoke in tongues, imbued with the Holy Spirit, going out and preaching God’s word to all who would listen, breaking cultural, lingual, and racial barriers alike.  They were gifted with power from the Holy Spirit.  Many people think that they held this power because it was granted to them by and only by Christ.  That is incorrect.  The bible says that all who hold faith in his name and call upon it without hesitation, remaining pure and strong in their love and faith for their savior Jesus Christ will receive the power of the Holy Spirit.  It is not beyond us!  Nothing is!  God makes all things possible.  The Christians of those days cleansed the sick, healed the blind, made the disabled move again, caste out demons from a realm and power beyond them, and created a cultural movement unparalleled in all of history.  All this was accomplished, not by the power bestowed unto them, by truly by their faith in Christ alone.

Today, where are those Christians?  DO YOU SEE THEM!?  I see few, and I see many more fakes!  Despicable fakes who seek to deceive people into believing they hold a power they do not.  We are weak.  We are faithless.  We have forgotten the words of our Father and we have forgotten the roots of our faith.  It has been corrupted by culture and politics.

Faith is absolute trust in your God and his existence.

To pray to God, and then doubt even for a second that it won’t happen… that is faithless.  A prayer like that doesn’t deserve to be answered, but God chooses to answer anyway because of his grace and love.

We need to be faithful! We need to find our faith!  We sit here meager and weak, living on fragile hopes and beliefs in possibilities.

NO!

There is no fragile hope.  There is no “possibility”

There is only faith.  Absolute hope.  Impossibility!

If Christ came to you on the edge of the Titanic, wouldn’t you want to be the one to say Yes, and know, not because it happened before, but that because you can do all things through Christ, your savior, who is standing there, holding out his hand, that you could walk on that water, in the midst of the chaos?

Through our faith, no enemy can hurt us, no storm can scare us, and no lies can breach us.  Death has no hold on us.

We call ourselves Christians, somebody who has total faith in Christ and that he died and rose again for our sins.

WE NEED TO START ACTING LIKE IT!

Jonathan Cahn, leader of the largest Messianic Church in the United States, shares his recent revelations with Pat Robertson of the prophecy re-enactment happening in America now that exactly mirrors the series of events that led to the downfall of the original Ancient Israel.

I POST ONE THING…  ONE FREAKING THING….
Oh my….

That atheism picture…
I found on facebook and put up on my wall as well.

I immediately start getting all this counter Christian stuff… its not rage, cause the guys that are doing it know me and we’re all kind of cool… it was more a joke to them, but it starts bordering religious debate and it quickly became clear it needed to be removed.

This all happened within five minutes.

I post that same picture on here, and already I’m getting reblogs and people putting their own two cents in the the post saying why Atheism is correct and Christianity is crazy… most of these people I don’t even have following me…
which tells me that there are people out there just constantly looking up “Atheism” or “religion” tags because they are that bored….

Really people????
Go breathe for a second….

dang.

—The 6 wings covered in eyes in the picture represent 4 creatures that fly around the throne of God day and night, called “Seraphim”, or “Burning Ones” (Isaiah 6, Ezekiel 1, Revelation 4) These creatures are angelic beings whose entire commission it is to simply be near God—this leads, naturally, to the breaking-forth of praises. —The 4 larger, individual symbols inside the circle are the Hebrew letters, “YHWH”.  This is the scriptural name of God. The writers of scripture, out of reverence for the holy name of God, refused to write out His whole name.  Therefore, they only included the consonants.  So what we know about the name of God is that it contains the consonants “YHWH”.  This is where we get the name “Yahweh” from, although it is also sometimes translated as “Jehovah”, as the letters “y” and “j” are interchangeable in the Hebrew alphabet, as well as the letters “v” and “w”.   At the top of the circle is the Star of David. The foretold Messiah was prophesied as being a descendant of David (Isaiah 11:10-11).  Jesus, being this Messiah, is of the bloodline of David and has/will be called a “son of David” forever.  Therefore, the use of the Star of David on our album art is a reference to fulfilled prophecy surrounding Jesus and His divinity/godhood. —In the top, left-hand corner of the circle is the name “Michael”, written in Hebrew.  Michael is an archangel (Jude 1:9) called “The great prince who stands watch over your people” (Daniel 12), and spoken of as a commander or a general of an army of angels in Revelation 12.  He is a warrior angel who has been commissioned to defend both the throne of God and the image-bearers of God—humans. —In the top, right-hand part of the circle, the name Gabriel is written in Hebrew. Gabriel is a messenger angel.  He is recorded as interpreting Daniel’s visions in Daniel 8:16-26, and 9:20-27, as well as announcing the births of John (Luke 1:11-20) and Jesus (Luke 1:26-38).  -On the bottom, left-hand part of the circle, the name Raphael is written in Hebrew. The name Raphael means “God heals” or, “God, please heal”.  In John 5, there is a pool at a place called Bethesda where many sick people had gathered because “an angel of the Lord descended at certain times into the pond; and the water was moved.  And he that went down first into the pond after the motion of the water was made whole of whatsoever infirmity he lay under.”  Because of Raphael’s name and role, this event is believed to be the assignment of Raphael. —On the bottom, right hand part of the circle, the name Uriel is written in Hebrew.  Uriel is written about in only extra-canonical books, but his name means “God is light”, or “The light of God”.  And is consistently referred to as the 4th archangel, standing along-side Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. „In regards to the man portrayed on the inside of the album’s liner notes, here are a few notes about him:He is the “Breaker”.  The personification of a role that is filled by God, as well as people operating under the commission of God.  The breaker concept is one that dictates (very simply), “What was once broken is now used to bring breakthrough.”  That is why the Breaker has been torn apart, and then stitched back together.  He is also holding the chains of the delivered in his hands—chains that have been broken off and taken away.  His belt buckle has an ancient Latin symbol meaning “Jesus Christ conquers”, or “Jesus Christ is victorious”.   And, on His chest is carved “Baal Perazim”.  This comes from a biblical story recorded in both 2 Samuel 5 and 1 Chronicles 14.  The phrase “Baal Perazim” means “The God who breaks through”, and David, as he gave the name to the place of his victory said, “As waters break out, the LORD has broken out against my enemies before me.”  (2 Samuel 5:20) The passage goes on to say “The Philistines abandoned their idols there.  The Breaker represents God’s victory, both in regions and individuals. Baal Perazim is the place in which God breaks through, and people abandon their idols.

The whole world judges us.  But they don’t know us.  They don’t understand us.  They’ve never been us.  And those who claim they have, and left, are lying.  The vow we take is one that can never be broken, and is one we never want to break.  The true love we feel and give out freely is the greatest thing that the human mind could even begin to imagine.
You call us out, and you base the mass of us on the errors of one.  I am here to personally say sorry for that person, for perhaps the fake who takes what we are in vain, or the one of us who became confused and hurt in a world that gave no comfort.
But please, don’t tear us down, because you simply don’t know us.  Where in history has anything good ever come of that?  Do you really feel so good about yourself when you spit at us, and call us every vile name you can think of, simply because we cannot reach the perfection you expect of us.
We may be Christians, but we are still human.  We still make mistakes.  The whole purpose of our faith, the whole purpose of Christ and his love, was because we make mistakes.  Without our mistakes, there would be no Christianity.  I wouldn’t be here writing about this love that is cursed at by those who do not feel it.
I ask you as a peaceful warrior, to think before you speak.  You may tear us down for one thing after another, but you fail to look at yourself.  What gives you the right or the superiority over us, to call us down for our smallest of failures… for the tiniest of misunderstandings.
You spit at us, because you don’t know us.  You curse us, because you don’t understand us.  You hurt us, because you want to forget us… but you can’t.
And all that time you spend taking out your anger on something you can’t understand, all we WANT is for you to understand.  To take that one moment, and humble yourself for a few seconds to hear us.   To understand and feel this love.
We love you while you hate us.  We care for you while you push us away.
We will be there for you, when you abandon us.
And every night, we pray that the day will come when you no longer hate us, push us away, or abandon us.  We pray the day will come when you can stand next to us, smiling, and understanding who we are, because you are who we are.
We wait for the day, when you stand beside us, fighting a hateful world with the greatest weapon man has ever known…
Love.
