They teach us how to talk, they’ll teach us how to walk
They’ll teach us how to dance just like this
They’ll teach us how to dress in nothin’ but the best
It’s all about success
Why do we fill our heads
With these things that all make no sense
We’re no different from the rest
We’re all just tryin’ to shake this mess
And I don’t wanna look inside myself cause
Then I’ll have to change somethin’ else and
I don’t want to live, like someone else I’m
Happy in my skin, bein’ myself
Let’s dance
They teach us how to roll, make em lots of dough
Money is the god we work for
Keep up with the style, this artificial smile
Will only last a while
Why do we fill our heads
With these things that all make no sense
We’re no different from the rest
We’re all just tryin’ to shake this mess
And I don’t wanna look inside myself cause
Then I’ll have to change somethin’ else and
I don’t want to live, like someone else I’m
Happy in my skin, bein’ myself
Let’s dance
Hawk Nelson — Let’s Dance
Billy made a promise but didn’t end though
Carrie had a dream but she threw it out the window
Kevin met a nice girl who broke his heart and
His friends never told him but they knew it from the start and…
These are the things we go through
Let’s take control and be ourselves
Let’s not waste time wondering about
How we’re gonna make it out
Despite the hardships you may have faced, life worked out this way for a reason…
To teach you how to live better.
Never regret that.
If they told you of the irony,
You’d call it all a lie.
If they told you of the lies you see,
You’d call lies truth to swear by.
If they told you the bare-bone truth,
You’d tell them to go mute.
But when that truth becomes clear you see,
You feel it at your roots.
Every muscle and every ache,
fighting every fiber and every wake.
You don’t know how or what to say,
So you simply pray for a brighter day.
Whether it comes depends on you, depends on God, and your choices too,
for we live with the decisions we’ve made,
and are left to live with the consequences laid.
Not all consequences are bad now…
Don’t get me wrong.
Some can be quite dark,
While others fill your life with the brightest song.
You’re not the only one.
Why, you’re riding in the drift,
Stuck with all humanity
In this jacked up and cracked up trip.
We all feel the pain,
And we all feel the joy.
We all feel the impact
of the choices we employ.
So if your choice is becoming clear.
Realize you’re simply in the game.
But just be sure,
your possible reward won’t be of much fame.
Whether happiness or tears,
whether death or added fears,
You can never quite know,
which way it will go.
However I can assure,
of one hidden allure.
Life keeps going,
and refuses to end.
When the curtains appears to be closing,
they will soon open again.
The tragedy has played
and all is dark.
You feel the pain pounding in your heart.
But wait just more,
hold on further.
Your brand new show is on the corner.
A brighter start,
and a stronger hope,
moved on by the lessons with which you have coped.
You move more boldly,
you take new leads
Or perhaps you shrink away
and hide like the thieves.
Whatever your reaction
I beg you one thing.
Don’t give up…
Don’t give up on this thing.
It’s a complicated play,
where everything can go amiss.
But those moments of joy,
are worth all the bliss.
See in the end,
the grand finale is here.
And the choices you have made,
are what will you get you there.
Fight on until the end.
Don’t quit the play now.
Because if you don’t try to live on…
You’ll never know how.
Forget your screwed up awkward math irony. Forget that today is the day a major video game comes out. Forget your timed wish tonight.
Forget that it all because it’d mean nothing if you weren’t alive.
Today is for one thing and one thing only:
Remembrance and honor of those who served, fought, and died for the safety and preservation of all that you hold dear. Do not talk down against them. Do not blame them. Do not forget them.
Every day they suffer hell so you don’t have to.
Every day they risk their lives so you don’t have to.
Every day they take on a challenging and daunting call of honor and duty so nobody else is forced to.
They are the men and woman who are the true heroes. They are the men and woman who truly deserve respect. They are the men and woman who have kept you alive.
Be thankful. Be thankful for what matters.
Not for number irony or video games or timed wishes.
Be thankful that you’re alive. Be thankful that someone, somewhere, who doesn’t even have to know you, is willing to stand up and fight to defend your life and your freedom, regardless of the cost.
Never forget.
Remember this Veteran’s Day.
God Bless Our Troops.
This pain is not yours.
The depth behind this distrust breathes life from the dark side.
Born from the other side.
The depth behind, straight from behind this other side.
When others lead lives that bend the rules put in place.
This giving (this giving), this ripping.
When others lead lives that bend the rules put in place.
This giving (this giving). This weight won’t last on you.
Giving all, unconditional, this takes a pure heart.
Sweet and true, yours is of gold, the best I know.
Now it’s time to stop the over and over. Now it’s time…
Let your responsibility be the change!
Let your endurance be the change!
Born from the other side!
The depth behind, straight from this other side!
There are plenty of reminders. Don’t forget the battle has been won.
There are plenty of reminders. Don’t forget the battle is won.
You are still a diamond in the rough.
Hold true to the way that you are
and He will bring you through…
Will bring you through!
Hold true to the way that you are
and He will bring you through (will bring you through)…
Will bring you through!
Life In Your Way — Take Notes
Remember tomorrow, October 18th, 2011, is the Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity.
Show your support and concern for the nearly 4,000 or more aborted children each day by taking up a vow of silence tomorrow and wearing red duct tape on your arm and/or mouth with the word “LIFE” written proudly on it.
Help raise awareness, and defend those who are left defenseless. Share the voice of those who have none. And remember that each day your alive, is a blessing, and that each day you live, is a gift someone will never receive.
